THE PROFESSOR IS STILL TALKING.
He’s been talking for fifty minutes straight, dry-erase marker squeaking in uneven bursts as he fills the board with symbols that look more like a foreign alphabet than applied mathematics. Conditional probabilities. Error terms. Confidence intervals stacked on top of one another like if you layer enough logic, uncertainty eventually disappears.
It’s Friday.
